The banyankore cultural village represents the heritage of the banyankore people of southwestern Uganda.
Traditional banyankore homes were constructed using materials available within the local environment including wooden poles, reeds and mud. The construction of the homestead reflected the family’s way of life and the surrounding environment.
The traditional homesteads can be used to demonstrate different aspects of banyankore including traditional houses, granaries, and food cattle-keeping traditions, craft, farming tools among others.
