The luo cultural village presents aspects of the heritage and traditional way of life of the Luo people.

Traditional Luo homesteads were made using locally available materials including wooden poles, reeds, grass and mud with the design adopted to the environment and needs of the household.

The arrangement of the homestead and construction of the houses provide visitors with an opportunity to understand family life and community organization since their homesteads were always constructed next to each other as an extended family.
